Study at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) in Beijing, the capital city of China, where you can see the vast, diverse, and fascinating culture. BLCU is the only international university in China with its main task set at teaching the Chinese language and culture to foreign students. All courses are conducted in sixteen different levels of six ranks, ranging from the beginner’s to advanced. In addition to on-campus study, APA’s off-campus events and activities enable students to have practical learning experience with a wide range of people from the local community and society.
Dive into your summer in China quickly by taking APA’s comprehensive 4-day Orientation Program in Beijing, including logistic set-up, campus and dorm tour, city tour, program orientation sessions, cultural activities, and meeting with local student community.
Participate APA’s off-campus components, including excursions to other cities in China, optional internship, APA community events, volunteering opportunities, and alumni networking.
Take course from more than 20 elective options, including HSK Test Preparation, Business Chinese, Chinese Culture taught in English, Chinese Music, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Thai Chi, etc.
Have A full Range of Chinese Language Courses with Constant Innovation in Curriculum, and 6 levels of courses from the very beginner’s to advanced.
Receive officially granted certificate and transcript (with credits attached) for completion.
Live in a single or twin-bed room in downtown Beijing, with separate bathroom, low price and high quality.

Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. It is the only university of its kind in China that specializes in offering Chinese language and culture courses to foreign students.
BLCU accommodates every year over 7,000 Chinese language learners for long- or short-term training. This training empowers learners to thrive in the world and achieve their life goals through a rigorous academic foundation balanced by real-world experiential education.
BLCU brings ideas and brilliant minds together, inspiring global communications and exchanges with real impact today and in the future. More than 12,000 international students every year has already granted the university a nick name “Little United Nations”.
Of the 300 full-time Chinese language faculty and 200 training teachers, 40 percent are with senior titles, 50 percent holding PhD degree, and 80 percent having taught Chinese abroad.
BLCU offers classes for different Chinese levels: 6 levels for elementary, intermediate and advanced language acquisition.

International students stay at Student Residence Center (Dormitory No.17).
About 25 square meters/room; two options of either twin rooms or single rooms.
Main facilities: television, air-conditioner, refrigerator, telephone, Internet, wall-closet, desk, chair, bed, bedding, public kitchen, etc.
APA recommends submitting your application anytime from March for Summer Program. APA may consider late applications if the deadline has passed.
Students should arrive one week before classes begin to attend APA 4-day Orientation Program and set up logistics.

Students are welcome to apply for the scholarship. APA prioritizes students who participate APA programs.
