Spend one or two semesters with Hanyang University ERICA in Ansan, the center of the western seas where Korea’s top education, research, and industry dusters are located. ERICA is recognized as the most active industry cooperation school. While accelerating your STEM studies, immersing yourself in the born place of worldwide popular KPOP, high-tech and multinational corporations like Samsung and Hyundai, and Korean culture. Pick up some Korean in a multicultural learning environment and explore thirteen cultural heritage sites of the nation. All courses are taught in English by local and international faculty.
Dive into your study and life in South Korea quickly by taking APA’s comprehensive 4-day Orientation Program in Seoul and Ansan, including logistics set-up, 2 days in Seoul (cooking class, city tour of Seoul), city tour of Ansan, campus and dorm tour, program orientation sessions, and meeting with the local student community.
Choose from 500+ English courses, including various from engineering department that Ranked 1st in South Korea by Korea Economic Daily Engineering School Assessment.
Enroll in a Korean Language Course (Survival Koran or Intensive Korean) free of charge to add up your language toolkit.
Buddy Program provided by the host university supports your smooth settlement and adjustment to the life and culture in Korea. Local buddies will interact with you throughout the semester and give assistance in various areas.
Participate in APA’s off-campus components, including cultural activities, optional internships, APA community events, volunteering opportunities, and alumni networking.

Hanyang University is a private research university in South Korea. It has two campuses, one in Seoul, and the other one, Education Research Industry Cluster at Ansan or ERICA, is located in Ansan.
You will be studying at Hanyang University’s ERICA Campus, which is about one hour’s drive away from Seoul city center. Reasonable living cost and easy access to city life can be enjoyed at the same time.
Hanyang University has prestigious reputation in teaching and research. According to the latest overall QS World University Ranking, it ranked 7th in South Korea and 156th worldwide.
The university established Korea’s first engineering institute (DongA Engineering Institute) in 1939 which became the founding facility of the University. It also established the first school of architecture and civil engineering of the nation. Hanyang University is very proud of its contribution to the country’s modern age and industrialism.
Hanyang University has established partnership with over 700 overseas institutions and welcomes over 7,400 foreign students each year.
Students can take up to 20 credits per semester. Regular study load at Hanyang is 15-18 credits per semester.
1 HYU credit consists of 15 contact hours. Most courses are awarded 3 credits.
Visiting students should take at least one regular course to maintain their visa.

Hanyang University ERICA Campus offers comfortable on-campus double-room for students. International students and Korean students reside together which gives you plenty of opportunities for building global friendships.
Each room has 2 single beds with a toilet/shower in the room. There are also study areas, laundry rooms, fitness centers, convenience shops, printers, and lockers in the living space within the accommodation buildings. You will have easy access at Hanyang to all the necessary life functions.
APA recommends submitting your application one month before the deadline to secure a place.
