Take classes, earn grades, join field trips, and make friends all in two weeks with Hanyang University ERICA. Nothing can be cooler than spending your summer in South Korea with a KPOP feature. The summer program will immerse you in a comprehensive Korean culture by learning contemporary dance, language, and important Korean industries.  APA will also provide support to you throughout the program to ensure your experience.

Overview

Dive into your study and life in South Korea quickly by taking APA’s comprehensive 4-day Orientation Program in Seoul and Ansan, including logistics set-up, 2 days in Seoul (cooking class, city tour of Seoul), city tour of Ansan, campus and dorm tour, program orientation sessions, and meeting with the local student community.

The summer program is a unique academic program dedicated to sharing the fascinating culture of South Korea. It includes culture introduction, meaningful industry learning, KPOP dance practice and Korean language learning. It’s a perfect design for Korean culture fans.

Credits for most courses in this program can be recognized at students' home universities or institutes.

Participate in APA’s off-campus components, including cultural activities, APA community events, volunteering opportunities, and alumni networking.

Access to APA on-site coordinator and other staff for continued support throughout the program.

University Introduction

Hanyang University is a private research university in South Korea founded in 1939. It established Korea’s first engineering institute (DongA Engineering Institute), which became the founding facility of the University. It also established the nation’s first school of architecture and civil engineering. Hanyang University is very proud of its contribution to the country’s modern age and industrialism.

Hanyang University has a prestigious reputation in teaching and research. According to the latest overall QS World University Ranking, it ranked 7th in South Korea and 156th worldwide.

Hanyang University ERICA Campus has easy access to Myeong-dong, Yeouido, Namsan Mountain, and other famous Seoul tourist sites.

Course

Enroll in one session and earn a maximum of 4 credits (2 weeks) or enroll in two sessions and earn a maximum of 8 credits (4 weeks).

There will be 2 free activities offered per session for each student. Examples would be Everland Amusement Park visiting, the Painters Musical performance watching, etc.

Hanyang University ERICA Campus offers comfortable on-campus double-room for all participating students.

Each room has 2 single beds with a toilet/shower in the room. There are also study area, laundry room, fitness center, convenience shop, printers and lockers at the living space within the accommodation buildings. You will have easy access at Hanyang to all the necessary life functions.

APA recommends preparing your application before the end of April.

*Application fee will be counted to your total program fee. The fee is not refundable except for cases of application failure or program cancellation.

**Students can get 5% off if the application is complete one month prior to the deadline.
