What on-the-ground support do you provide?

APA offers logistics support and academic support for customized study experience, including transportation, visa, accommodation, academic visits, student exchange, culture experience, tour leader, emergency contact, etc. 

How can you support my program with academic content?

APA can support your program with academic components according to the course syllabus and your proposal request, including topical lectures, university visits, corporate visits, workshops, alumni networking events, panel discussions, consulting projects, etc.

How do I develop a customized faculty-led short-term program?

I already have partners for my program. Can I ask for a partial support?

Sure. APA is always flexible and happy to provide support wherever we can. In addition, partial support regarding either logistic arrangement or academic component is available upon request.

How much does a program cost in the Asia Pacific?

Program fees vary depending on destination and duration, as well as the size of the group. Contact us, and we’d be happy to provide more details according to your requirements.

Where do you operate programs?

APA operates programs in over 15 countries/regions throughout the Asia Pacific, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, India, Australia, New Zealand, etc.

What academic areas of study can be offered?

APA has developed or can integrate into a customized faculty-led short-term experience in Business, Engineering, Culture, Language, Sustainability, Psychology, Education, Architecture, Religious Studies, Healthcare, Law, Music, Food, and Culinary, etc. With that said, we welcome your new and creative ideas!

Can you provide your Emergency Contingency Plan, especially regarding the specific COVID-19 operating protocols if any?

Do you offer virtual activities or programming? If so, can you switch a program to a virtual format if it cannot continue in person because of COVID-19?

Yes. APA does offer virtual activities and can switch a program to a virtual format due to COVID-19. In addition, we are currently providing various customized virtual programs.

Do you provide financial support?

Yes. The APA offers various scholarship programs to support the international learning experience.

How much shall I expect to spend on the program (water, food, taxi, etc.)?

Many expenses are already included in your program fees, but you will need to budget separately for some expenses like optional trips, personal costs, telephone calls, etc. The amount of money you will spend overseas depends on your spending and saving habits, the country you are going to, and the current exchange rate for the U.S. dollar.

Do I need a visa? How do I get it?

It depends on the destination of your study abroad programs, and sometimes it is also influenced by the length of your program. But, no worries, APA provides visa and passport services. We will provide more details once you are enrolled in the program.

Are meals with dietary restrictions available?

Yes. Please communicate with your Program Manager regarding your dietary restrictions in advance. APA will make every effort to communicate special nutritional restrictions requests or allergies to the restaurants where will serve the food on our programs.

What shall I pack?

Pack light! One checked bag and one carry-on is sufficient. Please check your airline’s website before travel for up-to-date information regarding your luggage weight and size limits. Here are a few common tips:

– Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are a must

– Be sure to bring rain gear and to dress in layers in case of the temperature changes throughout the day

– Check the weather forecast for your destination during the time you’ll be traveling and pack accordingly.
